Sydney Stitch Tapestry Of Moon Stitch Kit

This kit features a section of Tapestry of the Moon, designed by John Coburn in 1969 for the Sydney Opera House. At the Grand Opening of the Opera House in 1973, its sheer size, vibrant colours, and striking abstract imagery made it an undeniable focal point.

The tapestry was used as a house curtain in the Drama Theatre until the 1990s. Since then, concerns about its conservation have kept it largely out of public view.
