- The basics of reading a knitting pattern through understanding standard abbreviations as well as compound abbreviations found in brioche and cables.
- Different styles of pattern writing and determining if you match the skill level in one.
- How to substitute yarns- finding yarn information, matching fibre characteristics and calculating the meterage needed for a project.
- Clarifying common terminology such as M1, M1R and M1L
